THE WAITING LIST FOR THE 2016-17 SCHOOL YEAR IS NOW CLOSED Our 2017-2018 ONLINE Lottery Registration form will be available March 1st at 8 AM. Please check back at that time to complete your lottery registration. All lottery applications received after 4:00 PM on March 31st, 2017 will be added to the 2017-2018 Waiting List in the order they are received. LOTTERY REGISTRATION PROCESS Only Pasco County residents, grades K – 12, are eligible to attend Dayspring Academy through an equal opportunity lottery process, unless Out of County approval has been received. A public Lottery Information Session is held every February. Information about this session is posted on the Dayspring website and an ad is placed in the newspaper to serve as public notice of this session. See column on the left for information on this session. Our open Lottery Registration period begins on March 1st at 8 AM and closes on March 31st at 4 PM. Lottery Registration forms received after 4 PM on March 31st will result in the student being placed at the end of the 2017-2018 corresponding grade’s waiting list in the order in which their application is received. Lottery Registration forms must be submitted online via the Dayspring website during the March open registration period to be included in the Lottery drawing. In mid April, parents/guardians will be notified via email of their child's enrollment status. Parents/guardians must accept or decline the enrollment opportunity within 3 business days of being notified. If acceptance notification is not received by Dayspring Academy within 3 business days, the opening will be offered to the next child on the Waiting List. Students who are not selected through the lottery process will be placed on the 2017-2018 Waiting List in order of their lottery number. The waiting list does not roll over to the following school year, therefore, if your student does not enroll in Dayspring Academy during the 2017-2018 school year, you will need to reapply in March 2018 for the 2018-2019 school year. Please note: If you would like to enroll ANY school age siblings in Dayspring (K-12) or Dayspring’s Little Scholars (VPK only), a Lottery Registration form must be completed for EACH sibling. In order to be eligible for sibling status, the child must be a sibling of a current* Dayspring Academy (K-12) student and must NOT be currently enrolled in Dayspring Academy. *Current Dayspring students are defined as those students who are enrolled at Dayspring (K-12) during the month of March of the current school year. The District School Board of Pasco County and Dayspring Academy do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, marital status, disability, or age in its programs, services, activities or in its hiring and employment practices.
